A Handbag Glossary - WHY?What encouraged me to make this website? I suppose the biggest reason is that I sell used designer handbags on eBay, and discovered from time to time when describing a handbag for sale, I did not know that the heck I was talking about..... For example; what is the difference between top grain leather and full grain leather? Or what exact type of handbag is considered a Hobo Bag? I could not find a glossary of terms about HANDBAGS specifically, anywhere on the internet. At that point, I started collecting info, and over time, turned all of it into the definitions now contained within this glossary.
Also, I figured there were probably a lot of other handbag sellers, like me, that do not know what the heck they were talking about either. AND if they do, maybe the buyers do not understand the "technical terms" relating to handbags that such educated sellers may use to describe the items they have for sale.
So the this glossary has been a labor of love..... and a lot of time and effort was put into this. It is my hope that by providing this information to everyone, it will help educate ANYONE who loves handbags.
I hope that you will find this site informative and useful - and most of all - an inspiration for your own love of handbags!
